Mina is a human who makes art and tiny humans.
Her life as a mother fuels the visceral exploration into vulnerabilities and the inevitable. Each painting, along with ephemera collected, embody the raw emotions that mothers navigate within their internal landscapes. An interpersonal struggle with the mind, body, time, and mortality is meticulously detailed within her work. Her palette and methodology serve as both a love letter and validation of the complexities of motherhood. In addition to her palette, the surface of her paintings are a battleground of abstract forms that wrestle with fragmented figures.
As time progresses, so does life and her paintings. They are made with the intention of degradation, discoloration, and cracks. Much like our time and memories, they do not last, neither does her work.
